The BIGGS WRITING COLLECTIVE will read poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. We are writers, loyal to the impossible perfection and inevitable publication of our work. We foster a space of openness, experimentation, and evolution– in writing, and in our own lives. When we are not writing, we are thinking about writing. Coordinated by Jen Kruse.

Critique Your Photographs with DAWN DERRICK. Bring several of your own photographs. Learn about lighting, shadows, composition, body language: what works! Dawn Derrick has worked in advertising, fashion, portraits, and street photography. She inspires students to take more photographs, and understand what’s behind them.

KIDS COOKING Workshop: Cook up a seasonal summer dish with vegetables from our local farmers market & fresh herbs from the 6&B herb garden. We’ll taste-test, and everyone will get a recipe card! Ages 5 & up.

BLACKOUT POETRY with Connie Berry, on the night before the full moon. Come find out what Blackout Poetry is, and have fun making it. Selected results will be printed, and the booklet sold at Harvest Fest to benefit the Garden. Bring a blackout marker.
